Concerne : Attentat contre une ressortissante belge au Maroc
Ce samedi 15 janvier en fin de journée, à Agadir (Maroc), une ressortissante belge née en 1955, originaire de la région de Mons et résidant au Maroc, a été victime d’une attaque à l’arme blanche. Cette personne est sévèrement blessée mais, selon les médecins locaux, ses jours ne sont pas en danger.
Quelques heures auparavant, une autre attaque, apparemment perpétrée par le même suspect, âgé de 31 ans, avait causé le décès d’une ressortissante française à Tiznit, dans le sud du pays.
Face à ces deux faits, les autorités judiciaires marocaines ont décidé d’ouvrir un dossier pour terrorisme. Le Parquet fédéral belge, travaillant en étroite collaboration avec le PNAT (Parquet National Anti-Terroriste français), a donc décidé d’ouvrir également un dossier, pour tentative d’assassinat dans un contexte terroriste.
La présence au Maroc d’un officier de liaison (police) et d’un magistrat de liaison belges, permet une collaboration concertée, rapide et efficace avec les autorités policières et judiciaires marocaines.
Le dossier d’enquête a été confié à la section antiterroriste de la Police Judiciaire Fédérale de Charleroi.

Betreft: Aanslag op een Belgische onderdaan in Marokko
Afgelopen zaterdag, 15 januari, op het einde van de dag, is een Belgische, vrouwelijke onderdaan in Agadir (Marokko), het slachtoffer geweest van een aanval met een steekwapen. Zij is geboren in 1955, is afkomstig uit de regio Bergen en verblijft in Marokko. Ze is ernstig verwond, maar volgens lokale artsen verkeert ze niet in levensgevaar.
Enkele uren eerder had dezelfde 31-jarige verdachte blijkbaar een andere aanval gepleegd in Tiznit, in het zuiden van het land, waarbij een Franse onderdaan om het leven kwam.
Naar aanleiding van deze feiten hebben de Marokkaanse autoriteiten een dossier geopend wegens terrorisme. Het Federaal Parket van België heeft, in nauwe samenwerking met het PNAT (Nationaal Antiterrorismeparket van Frankrijk), besloten om eveneens een dossier te openen, wegens poging tot moord in een terroristische context.
Dankzij de aanwezigheid van een Belgische verbindingsofficier (politie) en een Belgische verbindingsmagistraat in Marokko kan er snel en doeltreffend worden samengewerkt met de Marokkaanse politie en gerechtelijke autoriteiten.
Het onderzoek is toevertrouwd aan de antiterrorismesectie van de Federale Gerechtelijke Politie van Charleroi.

Concerns: Attack on Belgian national in Morocco
At the end of the day on Saturday 15 January in Agadir (Morocco), a Belgian national born in 1955, originating from the Mons region and residing in Morocco, was the victim of a stabbing attack. This person is severely injured but, according to local doctors, his life is not in danger.
A few hours earlier, another attack, apparently perpetrated by the same 31-year-old suspect, caused the death of a French national in Tiznit, in the south of the country.
In view of these two facts, the Moroccan judicial authorities decided to open a file for terrorism. The Belgian Federal Public Prosecutor’s Office, working closely with the French National Anti-Terrorist Prosecutor’s Office (PNAT), therefore decided to open a file for attempted murder in a terrorist context.
The presence in Morocco of a Belgian liaison officer (police) and a Belgian liaison magistrate allows for concerted, rapid and efficient collaboration with the Moroccan police and judicial authorities.
The investigation file is entrusted to the anti-terrorist section of the Federal Judicial Police of Charleroi.
